报告题目: A high-dimensional density estimation method and its application for solving PDEs

报告内容简介：Probability density estimation remains an open challenging problem in computational science and engineering. By coupling the Knothe-Rosenblatt (KR) rearrangement and the flow-based generative model, we developed an invertible transport map, called KRnet, for high-dimensional density estimation. In this talk, we give an overview of KRnet and discuss its adaptive version for the Fokker-Planck equations and stochastic dynamic systems. KRnet for solving Bayesian inverse problems is also studied. This is joint work with Yani Feng, Junjie He, Kejun Tang and Xiaoliang Wan.
报告人简介：廖奇峰目前为上海科技大学信息科学与技术学院常任副教授、研究员、博士生导师，视觉与数据智能研究中心联合主任、中国数学会计算数学分会理事。于2010在英国曼彻斯特大学数学学院获得数值计算博士学位，于2006年获得四川大学数学学院学士学位。2011年1月至2012年6月，在美国马里兰大学计算机系从事博士后研究工作；2012年7月至2015年2月，在美国麻省理工学院航空航天系从事博士后研究工作；2015年3月，作为研究员加入上海科技大学信息科学与技术学院。
