报告摘要:In this talk we present some results for adaptive finite element algorithms applied to nonlinear problems. The objective is to obtain optimal convergence rates with respect to the overall computational work. This requires appropriate stopping criteria for the different nested loops: mesh refinement, linearization, and linear solution. In the first part of the talk, we consider the case of semi-linear elliptic equations and nonlinear goal-functionals. Often, such equations are related to energy minimization. In the second part of the talk we discuss combining adaptive methods with optimization algorithms.
